Having had a successful career running his own business and working in The City of London Dennis is now passing on his experience and knowledge as a consultant and non exec. Director. He has worked with a number of small and large companies helping them to overcome issues and easing them through growth stages. Every successful business has to deal with these issues from time to time and they usually come when the board and managing director are at their busiest. Having experienced these situations in the past Dennis is well equipped to give advice and assistance to both the MD and Boards of companies. He is has served as a non exec chairman of a number of Companies.
Since 2015 he has been President of The Oil Industries Club and was honoured to be Their President when celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Club. Dennis wrote the 100th Anniversary Brochure which has been distributed to all members & guests attending functions during the 100th year. Dennis has been a keen sportsman all his life and taken part in many extreme sports in the past. It was therefore no surprise to his family when he undertook a trek to the North Pole in 2008 followed by a gruelling 720 mile trek to the South Pole in 2011 2012 which nearly ended in disaster. He now talks about these wonderful experiences using a slide and video show taking his audience to these extreme regions and through the experience of being a Polar Explorer.
In recent years he has been on an Everest Base Camp trek and climbed Mont Blanc with his eldest Son Richard.
In 2013 he became Master of his City of London Livery Company attending over 250 meetings and City events. In his year Fiona Woolf was Lord Mayor and being a member of Dennis Livery The Worshipful Company of Fuellers Dennis and his wife Suzan worked closely with The Lord Mayor and Mansion House helping to raise funds for the Lord Mayors Appeal. This culminated with The Lord Mayor accompanied by Dennis and many other supporters’ abseiling from the top of the LLoyds building in The City for charity.
He is a supporter of a number of charities including Beating Bowel Cancer, Help for Heroes and of course the Worshipful Company of Fuellers Charitable Trust where Dennis has helped to organise a number of events for pupils at Platinos College in South London a school supported by The Fuellers. He is also happy to give his time to charity groups including schools, Scouts & guides etc and has given many talks ranging from his successful business career, his skydiving experiences to his exploits in the Polar regions.
Dennis is married to Suzan and has 3 adult children Richard, Tim and Jennifer. They have five Grandchildren Mylo, Poppy, Emily, Freddie and Rudy. All three of his children are running their own succesful companies. Dennis is delighted that his family have followed in his footsteps and are running their own businesses.
